Mercamadrid is located alongside the M-40 Madrid orbital motorway. From exit 20 there is direct to the Central Toll Gate, while exit 19-B gives access to the Madrid Transport Centre and the side toll gate at km. 3.800 of the M-602, the Villaverde-Vallecas road.

The Food Unit is in a privileged location between the A-3, Madrid-Valencia motorway and the N-IV Madrid-Andalusia road and with direct access to the orbital motorway M-45 and M-50, and to the radial R-4.

Mercamadrid is just a few minutes from Madrid-Barajas airport, and from the new Air Freight Terminal, Madrid Airport Cargo, directly connected by the M-40 orbital motorway.

The Railway Stations of Atocha-Local and Atocha-Long Distance are just a few minutes from Mercamadrid, as is the Abroñigal freight station.

The Madrid Municipal Transport Company (EMT) places at the disposal of users two city bus routes, with specifically-adapted timetables: line 88 and line 130. These connect the Mercamadrid Food Unit and the Madrid Transport Centre (CTM) with the city centre, railway stations and the underground network.
