25 July 2007: New measures for the Security Plan 2007-2008 of Mercamadrid International.

The Security Plan 2007-2008 has been designed so as to improve the global security of Mercamadrid Food Complex, trying to achieve, as well, the collaboration of the businessmen and employees, who develop their activity in the Food Complex in order to achieve the best efficiency in the measures of organization and coordination which are being developed.

            The efficiency of the Plan is based on:

-          The correct application of human and technique means. 

^-           The training and information about measures for self-protection, workers and buyers.

^-           The preventive measures to avoid the commission of a crime.

^-           The collaboration with the National Police, the Local Police and the special services of firemen, Samur, etc.

-          The improvement of the communication system about any relevant information to prevent a crime.

Since last January, a specific successful plan, included in the Security Plan, has been applied to avoid the intrusion in commercial premises and the robbery using violence.

Furthermore, Mercamadrid has given a strong support to the security inside the internal organisation of its employees and, a Staff with a specific security department, managed by the Deputy General Manager Assistant and Security Director, Alfonso Ortega Lacuesta, has been created.

Mercamadrid has attended to the “Conference on Collaboration and Coordination between the National Police and the Private Security for companies”, with the interventions of the General Superintendents of Citizen Security, Judicial Police and the Information Brigade, closing the working session the Police and the Civil Guard General Manager.

Once the contents of the Conference has been analysed, we have applied preventive measures so as to avoid the commission of the common and usual crimes and menaces. In coordination with the police station of Vallecas, we have established protocols of actuation and treatment of information, not only for officers of services and prevention in Mercamadrid, but also for security guards.

On the other hand, we have planned a calendar of security actions, which includes the following measures:

July

-          Greater presence of vigilance and control in the accesses to the Food Complex, identifying people and vehicles.

-          Communication campaign for the businessmen of the Food Complex about the implementation of the Security Plan 2007-2008.

-          Intensification of the identifications of buyers and interventions on people who take out boxes or other objects from skips.

August-September

-          Programming of the automatic vigilance with the “Close television circuit” system.

-          Programming of the automatic system of video-identification of the accesses, to detect new number plates.

-          Implementation of the preventive information system about video-identification of number plates.

October, November and December

-          Presentation of systems for protection and self-protection in the company, the place of work and home, to wholesale companies, workers, buyers and the rest of users,
