17 July 2006: Consultation stage related to the draft of the second cleaning campaign in Mercamadrid

FCC (Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas) has proposed a Cleaning Plan for the Industrial Food Estate, which is being subject to consultation during the month of July on the part of all market agents: wholesalers, retailers and users, as well as workers\rquote trade unions.

FCC is the leading company on the Spanish market in relation to city sewage, construction, cleaning and waste treatment, with a growing presence on international markets.

Its policy for growth has traditionally focused on diversification, which explains why its current production is highly diversified.

The company develops 53% of its activity in sectors other than construction, including: collection and subsequent removal of solid waste; cleaning of public roads; water supply to towns; maintenance of drinking and waste water treatment plants; cement manufacturing; real estate; parking lots; city fittings; passenger travel; technical car inspections, airport handling, etc.
